Summary

As a Senior Java Developer at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities.

Your role in our mission

• Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
• Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
• Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
• Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
• Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
• Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
• Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

What we're looking for

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field or relevant experience.
• 6+ years of experience with application, web and product design and support experience across the development life cycle, with experience preferred working in healthcare technologies.
• 6+ years of experience writing code using Java language, including knowledge and experience in JSP, JSF, Spring Hibernate, Eclipse, and RDBMS databases such as Oracle.
• A strong foundation in software and product design methodologies, programming languages, operating systems, web development and application implementation across the development life cycle
• Expertise in application development policies and procedures; and analyzing costing / and budgets to determine financial feasibility.

• Occasional travel may be required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
