Brief Position Overview :

Great Falls College MSU has varying needs for adjunct instructors. Adjunct instructors are hired Semester to Semester based on the needs of the institution, in a variety of subject areas.

Salary : $735.00 per credit for Academic (pay is different for clinical)

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Preparing and teaching subject matter content to traditional and non-traditional students;
• Assist with syllabus preparation and developing curriculum;
• Ability to stay current in field;
• Contribute to an effective work atmosphere by interacting positively and appropriately with students, co-workers, supervisors and visitors.

Required Qualifications Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills :

Required qualifications for adjunct teaching positions vary depending on the type of openings available and are based on the Montana Board of Regent’s Policy 730.

Preferred Qualifications Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills :

• Master’s or Doctorate degree(s) in industry or related field;
• Appropriate industry or field certifications (if applicable);
• Related work experience in degree area, industry or field of expertise;
• Successful teaching experience face to face and / or online;
• Experience in Higher Education, two year college, or Community College setting;
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.

It is one of four units of Montana State University and MSU’s only stand-alone two-year college.
