This full-time (1.0 FTE) position provides administrative and organizational support for the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program, including support of curriculum development and managing course content in NU’s online course platform and Discovery.

Essential Functions
Provide general administrative support for the CMHC program including :
- Answering student and faculty questions and serving as a general resource.
- Maintaining CMHC eagle webpages.
- Purchasing program supplies and psychological assessments as needed.
- Coordinating CMHC student events such as registration, orientation, graduation, and residency.
- Maintaining CMHC student files and program records.
- Organizing CMHC program meetings and agendas.
- Providing clerical assistance to the CMHC Program Director, Online Faculty Lead, and Clinical Directors.
Coordinate course curriculum and syllabi development and redevelopment with faculty including :
- Updating syllabi and rubric templates as needed.
- Providing faculty with assignment examples as requested.
- Ensuring CACREP and KPI standards in syllabi.
- Working with librarian for copyright.
- Maintaining program curriculum records and copies for future use.
Create discovery courses each semester including :
- Uploading syllabi and building course structure.
- Creating discussion forums, quizzes, and Turnitin assignments.
- Creating assignment rubrics.
- Creating gradebooks.
- Verifying all website links are accurate and working.
- Opening, closing, and archiving Discovery content.
Serve as the key contact with instructors as they prepare for the upcoming semester and provide adjunct faculty support and training in Discovery.
Add textbook lists into My textbooks in Eagle.
Respond to student and faculty Discovery questions and issues.
Monitor weekly instructor grading progress, course evaluation participation, and course completion processes, and support respective Director / Chair as requested for evaluation / monitoring of adjunct faculty and track submission of final grades.
Provide administrative support for CACREP accreditation.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Arts Degree, preferably in Psychology or a related Social Science field (or equivalent with work experience).
- Experience with customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Experience in record keeping and maintaining files.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality is crucial.
- Ability to self-manage and work on projects independently.
- Preferred experience with online educational platforms (i.e., Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas) or WordPress.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination.
- Ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.
- Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.
- Some weekend / evening work might be required on occasion.
- Possible travel, including overnight travel, may be required.
- Position works with strictly confidential information.
- Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May be exposed to loud noise levels.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max.
of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, performing repetitive motions of the hands or wrists, and other movements.
The abilities of seeing, hearing, and speaking are also required.
Compensation
Based on education and experience, the compensation range starts at $18.75 / hour to a median of $19.25 / hour.
