Job Title : CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

Set up and operate a CNC lathe with Fanuc controls (Puma, Kia, Hwacheon). Responsibilities include switching tools and inserts, loading and unloading fixtures, proofing the program (setting the program and making basic edits), understanding 0 point reference, running offsets, and completing and documenting in-process inspections.

You will work mostly with stainless steel 4140, hastalloy, and other materials. The lathes run on 'Predator' software. You will also perform editing, reading ahead in the code to catch any discrepancies.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Santee, California.

Work Environment

Machine shop looking for long-term employees who want to contribute to a growing company. The environment is more of a job shop than repetitive production.

It is a dirtier shop, and employees may be moved around based on the needs. You could operate the same machine for three days but may be moved to another one for a few days.

Flexibility and a willingness to help are essential.
