The Senior Technical Program Manager provides leadership and support for various technical initiatives, while engaging in new projects.
Acting as the primary technical liaison to clients, the manager ensures solutions meet client needs and maintains clear communication through regular updates.
The role involves overseeing program management, ensuring timely and successful execution of projects, and collaborating with internal teams.
The manager integrates architecture with development to manage risks and timelines, implements business strategies, and establishes deliverable timelines.
Additionally, they identify opportunities to optimize and streamline solutions for enhanced program integration.
Responsibilities
- Support Tech Initiatives : Provide extended support to tech leads including Gateway & Kiosk, AI Programming, Code Development, including new initiatives.
- Client Communication : Serve as the primary technical spokesperson to the client, trusted to deliver and understand what Outform will deliver within the context of the client's needs.
Manage all technical meeting notes to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the programs and provide regular updates on team task progression.
- Project Management : Oversee Intel’s program management for all active technical projects, ensuring timely and successful execution while collaborating with various internal teams.
- Risk and Strategy Management : Tie together proposed architecture with development to ensure timelines are feasible and manage any risks.
- Business Strategy Implementation : Understand and help implement desired business strategies and outcomes across managed programs.
- Timeline Establishment : Establish timelines for tech deliverables and coordinate with the Intel team APM for overall project schedule implementation.
- Solution Optimization and Improvement : Have intimate knowledge of each solution and identify ways to improve and streamline them to ensure more seamless follow-through to other programs.
Qualifications
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience : 5-7 years of experience in technical program management, preferably with experience in managing large-scale, complex technical programs.
- Skills :
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as SmartSheets and Jira.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead both waterfall and agile project management processes.
- Familiarity with internet and web service technologies is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Work Environment : Primarily office-based in Union City, CA with occasional requirements to visit project sites or attend meetings in different locations.
- Travel : May require occasional travel to meet with stakeholders or oversee project components.
- Physical Activity : Minimal physical activity required; primarily involves sitting, standing, and using a computer for extended periods.
