DevOps Engineer at Hidden Level

As a DevOps Engineer at Hidden Level you will apply your skills and experience to manage and improve the infrastructure that keeps the product development, production, and deployment of our state-of-the-art sensor network up and running.

As a DevOps Engineer at Hidden Level, you can expect to...

Design, extend, and harden existing DevOps infrastructure :

• Design scalable deployment and configuration strategies for on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Investigate, communicate, and implement solutions to optimize the performance of existing CI / CD pipelines and architecture.
• Reduce developer touch time by improving the automation, regression testing, and test coverage of software delivery pipelines.
• Minimize downtime by monitoring and troubleshooting production systems and evaluating, prioritizing, and resolving infrastructure problems.

Work in a motivated cross-disciplinary environment :

• Work with small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results.
• Participate in collaborative, cross-functional design and code reviews.
• Document and clearly communicate designs to peers and stakeholders.

A successful candidate will have...

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of related professional experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges through teamwork and collaboration.
• Experience with deploying and maintaining cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Working knowledge of IaC technologies (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
• Expertise in Configuration Management technologies (Git, Perforce)
• Experience with using and managing CI / CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory, etc.)
• Experience with Shell / Bash and additional scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.)
• Expert working knowledge in Linux systems administration (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, harden, and troubleshoot).
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based cybersecurity best practices
• Desire to stay current with new technologies and industry trends and a drive to explore novel ways of improving existing infrastructure.
• Experience with or the drive to learn :
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Multi-cloud infrastructures

The location of this position has the ability to be remote, hybrid, and / or onsite in the Syracuse, NY office.

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.

The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $100,000 to $128,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.
