JOB SUMMARY
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for systematic and accurate processing, distribution, and archiving of project documentation for assigned project phases.
This position maintains a large volume of files in electronic and hard copy format, updates databases, and uses office equipment to prepare and distribute project data.
This person needs to be organized, extremely detail-oriented, be able to work independently or with the team when needed and must have reliable transportation to and from the Anchorage office to complete the duties of the role.
If the candidate is outside the Anchorage area, they must be willing to relocate before starting at their own expense.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Reproduce and distribute engineering design packages to customers.
- Process, distribute, and archive project documentation in coordination with the Project Management team.
- Maintain project records in document management systems and data management applications.
- Manage and maintain construction drawings.
- Support team with proposals, as necessary.
- Other document control / administrative support as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- A Valid Driver’s License is required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBi, and / or OneDrive is required.
- Proficient experience with PDF based software programs : BlueBeam REVU or Adobe Acrobat Pro is required.
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience working as a Document Control Specialist, Technical Documentation Specialist, or Document Management Specialist is required.
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience working with project document management and electronic document management systems is required.
- The ability to work in the office Monday Friday from 8am 5pm is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Six (6) or more years of experience working in a construction or industrial setting, in the Oil and Gas industry, Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, or in an Arctic environment is preferred.
- AutoCAD experience is preferred.
