Supply Chain Sales Executive

The Supply Chain Sales Executive is accountable for developing and executing an account strategy to grow Cardinal Health Distribution with local accounts across a defined territory.

Territories consist of both Prime and Non-prime customers. This role also has responsibility for supporting sales strategies and objectives across USMPD services, products, and solutions.

Cross-functional team building, development of contracting strategies, leading negotiations, conducting comprehensive business reviews, positioning of Cardinal Health’s value offering, driving revenue, managing contract compliance integrity, and protecting margin will be key responsibilities.

Territory : Southern and Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for growth in customers both in and out of Cardinal Health distribution channel
  • Build relationships across all key stakeholders, including Supply Chain leadership
  • Align on growth & selling strategies for Cardinal Health products and services across Acute selling teams
  • Partner closely with Service & Operations partners to exceed customer expectations
  • Establish and lead business review process, including documentation & communication of financial and operational KPI’s
  • Identify pricing model that best meets the needs of the customer
  • Develop & maintain customer profile / attributes and distribution pipeline in CRM
  • Collaborate & coordinate with the Business Development team on identified opportunities
  • Develop conversion & substitution strategy
  • Support product team through trials and conversions
  • Support ongoing improvement of group strategies, including segmentation and targeting criteria, program and offering development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Coordination of the communication to internal Cardinal Health leadership stakeholders on a consistent basis

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years sales and / or marketing experience in healthcare / medical product and services industry
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong background in selling situations, and ability to cultivate and maintain executive relationships.
  • Proven success selling diversified product solution and services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
  • Ability to analyze business issues and lead the development of customized action plans to drive value for the customer and Cardinal Health
  • Ability to develop and expand relationships with key stakeholders in order to achieve business objectives
  • Strong cross-organizational collaboration skills; ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success in complex negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of hospital and healthcare economics
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy
