Fleet Specialist-$25
The Fleet Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the Fleet program for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles.
The Fleet Specialist also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
Responsibilities :
- Safely transport P4 vehicles between the various sites
- Schedule and transport vehicles to and from regular maintenance appointments such as oil changes, details, tire rotations, etc.
- Use Fleet application systems to monitor the status, location, and condition of vehicles in real time.
- Manage the costs of the Fleet, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers, and research new options for vehicles and suppliers.
- Develop plans to deal with challenges such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic crashes, and failed inspections.
- Ensure proper vehicle stickers / transponders are displayed
- Responsible for maintaining the Vehicle Fleet Board for locations and maintenance schedules
- Adhere to the use of P4 Company Vehicle and Driving Infractions policies
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must have fleet manager experience.
- Must pass a review of a Motor Vehicle Report.
- At least 1 year of managing a Fleet size of 20 or more vehicles.
- Competency with Fleet applications.
- Time-management and multitasking skills to handle multiple vehicle requests
- Excellent attentive and active listening skills
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safe driving
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
- Valid State of Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
We are looking for a candidate to work only three days per week between the hours of 7-3pm. Monday is a mandatory scheduled day, and the other two days are flexible.
