The Department of Public Safety, Access Integrity Unit, is responsible for statewide training of all Criminal Justice Terminal Operators and auditing all State of Maine Law Enforcement agencies to assure compliance of federal and state laws, as well as regulations and other guidelines.
Primary responsibilities include :
Skills or knowledge required :
This unit is responsible for training and auditing of criminal and non criminal justice agencies who access CJIS - Criminal Justice Information.
Minimum qualifications :
Six (6) years of education, training, and / or experience analyzing, evaluating, and / or developing improvements to organizational and / or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
Preference will be given to those applicants :
Are Maine Certified Terminal Operators with experience as an Emergency Communication Specialist
Are familiar with both the NCIC and Maine METRO manual.
Have experience writing technical training documents.
Have experience in training in a classroom setting.
Have experience managing.
