SUMMARY
Incumbent will be responsible for HVAC and boiler maintenance and repair at the County facilities, as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Boiler Operator;
- HVAC technician;
- Maintain and service all types of air conditioners, circulating pumps, cooling towers, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and all necessary components for the efficient operation of air and heating conditioning systems;
- Maintain and control cooling water treatment as specified for the proper use of the air-conditional system;
- Set-up and maintain the proper temperature balance of air-conditioning units which operate year round with the proper relationship of heating and cooling.
Maintain accurate clerical records and logs as provided.

- Ability to understand technical literature, prints, drawings and tables (curves, graphs) pertinent to the equipment;
- Mechanical skills, knowledge of chemical water treatment and pneumatic controls;
- Computer literate;
- Well organized and detail-oriented;
- Good inter-personal, oral and written communication skills;
- High School Diploma / GED;
- Knowledge of boiler plant equipment and systems including the use of alternate fuels;
- Ability to make decisions under emergency conditions;
- Ability to read and understand blueprints. Technical manuals, operating manuals and codes;
- Must have a valid PA driver's license.
