We are looking for a Linux System Administrator.
Job responsibilities :
- Deploy and configure new Linux servers to client and application needs including OS installation, firewall setup, SSH key access and coordinating hardware deployment logistics
- Ensure uptime, storage, and redundancy in infrastructure through RAID configurations, cloud backups, and disk storage management
- Monitor server and application performance using Grafana, Prometheus, log analysis and other tools
- Configure and deploy streaming and transcoding services, with knowledge in HLS, MPEG-DASH, transcoding, CDN configuration, video compression, and RESTful APIs
- Train new clients on software with demos, training sessions, user documentation and user support post-deployment
- Manage office IT including Wi-Fi, network, hardware procurement, troubleshooting, system access for new employees, and maintaining asset management system
- Manage vendors including pricing, order management, and client billing reporting
- Support monthly client billing for subscriber counts, CDN usage, and 3rd party usage data
- Operate within customer service protocol, respond to assigned tickets, and escalate issues to senior engineering team when necessary
- Update documentation and troubleshooting procedures across technical teams
- Manage local and international data centers and hardware locations, monitor hardware performance, update equipment remotely and maintain inventory levels in accordance with data center policies and protocols.
Qualifications :
- 2 4 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or related role
- Linux system administration experience in Ubuntu / APT, CentOS / YUM, Nginx, MySQL
- Proficiency in using the command line, including shell commands and scripts using Bash
- Knowledge of the IP protocol suite and associated troubleshooting tools like ping, traceroute, nslookup
- Strong understanding of computer systems, scripting, switching, routing, and networking
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for both technical and non-technical teams
- BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
