Diverse Abilities Religious Education (DARE) provides religious education and support to members of the community with diverse abilities and that are 18+.
Sessions will be held on a monthly basis.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership and Vision :
- Collaborate with the Inclusive Special Needs Program Manager to establish a vision and goals for the program.
- Provide leadership to ensure the program's objectives align with the broader goals of Baitul iLM.
- Team Management :
- Oversee the professional development and well-being of teaching staff within the program.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss program updates, challenges, and successes.
- Curriculum Development and Implementation :
- Work closely with teachers to develop and adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of participants.
- Ensure the effective implementation of inclusive teaching methods and best practices.
- Mentorship and Support :
- Provide mentorship to teaching staff, offering guidance on inclusive teaching strategies and classroom management.
- Address challenges and concerns raised by teachers and provide timely support.
- Parent and Community Engagement :
- Collaborate with the Admin Team to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader community.
- Organize regular communication channels, such as parent-teacher meetings and community events.
- Program Evaluation and Improvement :
- Monitor the effectiveness of the program through ongoing assessment and evaluation.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance program outcomes.
About You
- Principal(s) :
- Relevant academic qualifications in education leadership.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teacher Mentors :
- Teaching qualification and experience in inclusive education (preferred not required)
- Knowledge of best practices in inclusive teaching (preferred)
