Afternoon Support Teacher

As our Evening Closer, you’ll have your weekends free since we’re only open on weekdays. Plus, Pick-up time is a fantastic opportunity to connect with families and build strong parent-teacher relationships!

Your Fun and Impactful Role :

• Pick Up Superhero : Prepare children’s belongings, help with hand washing, watch for parents, notify classrooms upon a parent’s arrival, walk children to cars, provide parents with accident reports, and ensure each child leaves with the appropriate, authorized adult.
• Cleanup Captain : Vacuum floors, wash dishes, remove garbage, pick up playgrounds, wash and fold laundry, and assist with any remaining classroom or center cleaning.
• Close-Up Pro : Turn off lights, air conditioning units, TVs, and all other electronic devices. Ensure the alarm is set and doors are locked.
• Team Player : Work with other staff members to create a supportive team atmosphere.
• Compliance Champ : Adhere to all state rules, regulations, and Here We Grow policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For :

• Experience Preferred : One year of childcare experience (but we’re happy to train the right person!).
• Impact Maker : A desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
• Positive Attitude : Professional, reliable, and always on time.
• Loving Nature : Nurturing demeanor with children, sensitive to their needs.
• Effective Communicator : Build positive relationships with management, children, parents, and staff.
• Willing Learner : Ready to get a Food Handler’s permit, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
• Meeting Enthusiast : Available for monthly staff meetings.
• Training Committed : Complete local, state, and national professional training hours.
• Background Check Ready : Clear the Utah Background Check.
• Physically Capable : Meet the physical demands of the job, including sitting on the floor, standing quickly, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Here We Grow Early Learning Center started as a small business over 20 years ago when Owner JoAnne Albrecht’s search for childcare for her own children was unsuccessful.

Recognizing a wider need for quality childcare, she expanded her business and has successfully established an environment devoted to the love, growth, development, and safety of children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
