Ideal candidates will be located or willing to be located in MN (Twin-Cities area) or IL (Chicagoland area).
Reporting to the President, Link & Renew the Vice President, Business Development is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and improve the overall profitability of the company.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify and capitalize on opportunities for expansion for organic and non-organic growth, while also leveraging existing processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with Marmon Link’s objectives and market trends with a focus on pioneering the aftersales and services market to create value for our customers.
- Identify new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and innovative business models that drive revenue growth.
- Build business cases and strategic plans that will align our solutions to current and prospective business needs.
- Collaborate with the customer experience, marketing, operations, engineering, and product development teams to develop and launch new products / services tailored to customer preferences.
- In partnership with the date science team, analyze complex business situations, sales data, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize sales performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues who are maintaining and growing the new equipment business.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners, to support business growth initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, fostering a culture of continuous growth, collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
- Provide quarterly business reviews that give insight into the progress of growth initiatives, adjusting as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Inform the leadership team of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Skills / Experience We’re Looking For
- Proven track record of success in driving new business growth opportunities and profitable revenue and operating income, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams at every level of the organization.
- Strong financial acumen
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and distribution channels
- Complex negotiations experience
- A relentless drive to capture voice of customer
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10 years’ experience in a Commercial, Business Development, Sales, Finance, or similar role
- Ability to travel up 30% of the time
