The Human Resources Director promotes and implements human resource values by overseeing and managing the human resources department, including its programs, policies, and staff.
The HR Director is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources department’s functions.
This position works closely with the Director of Operations and the Executive Management team to continuously monitor and evaluate performance standards and measures related to the organization's HR department.
This position is familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

- Ensure and uphold the confidentiality requirements of all patient records and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic’s policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.

- Develop and ensure effective, positive relationships within and among the clinic and administrative staff, as well as with patients, vendors, contractors, and related resources.

PRIMARY TASKS & DUTIES
- Responsible for senior-level decision-making for day-to-day management ensuring the department is in line with the strategic direction of the organization.
- Oversee Human Resources staff while providing direction and support on all personnel matters.
- Provide the Executive Team with reports on data such as staff turnover, references, cost per hire, training hours per person, etc.
- Oversee the New Hire training program provided to new employees including updating and revising, as necessary.
- Conduct training needs analysis and develop and implement a training plan with input from other department Directors.
- Oversee all employee evaluations to ensure they are conducted in accordance with company policy.
- Oversee organizational recruitment efforts to ensure all positions are filled with qualified candidates and develop a plan to achieve maximum results.
- Oversee employee compensation and benefits, including salary range analysis, and develop a plan to attract and retain staff.
Regularly review compensation and benefits market data, monitor pay practices, and proactively address any issues.
- Oversee and direct employee grievances, coaching, and write-ups to ensure consistent treatment across the organization.
- Maintain all Human Resources Department policies, procedures, and workflows related to personnel matters.
- Maintain personnel files ensuring they are complete and develop a process for ongoing oversight. Regularly review all Job Descriptions to ensure they are reflective of the employee’s role and responsibilities.
- Work with the Finance Department to ensure payroll is completed accurately and to deadline.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and work closely with Compliance / Legal to ensure organizational compliance.
- Work with Compliance / Legal on any work-related injuries and initiate the filing of workers compensation claims when appropriate.
Act as the liaison for annual workers compensation audit.
- Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the organization.
- Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
- Work with the Finance department to ensure the department is operating within budget.

- Communicate with a diverse employee population. Will be required to successfully manage stressful or conflict situations.
- Utilize a wide variety of office technology and tools to collect, enter, process, file patient records and documentation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years HR related experience.
- HRCI and / or SHRM Certification required or attained within one year of hire.
- Experience supervising and developing staff.
- Strong business acumen and leadership abilities.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and other compliance issues.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations.
- Outstanding judgment, sensitivity, and high discretion.
- JD or master’s degree in human resources preferred.
- Must be able to travel to all administrative and clinic sites, as necessary.
