Currently we have an opening for a Process Development Scientist / Engineer located in Clayton, NC Details for the position are as follows :
Pay Range : $30-$40 / hour
Job Description :
12-month contract with the possibility of extending or converting to permanent based on performance and budget.
The selected candidate will be responsible for study execution at bench-scale and pilot-scale related to manufacturing support and process transfer projects.
Responsibilities include cGMP documentation, data review, and writing technical documents.
The individual will perform protein purification techniques including but not limited to precipitation, chromatography, ultrafiltration / diafiltration, and filtration.
The candidate will perform accurate technical / cGXP documentation of activities and analyze / interpret analytical results.
The candidate will need strong technical writing skill to author study protocols and reports.
Work is performed in a laboratory and pilot-scale production environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
Exposure to chemicals.
Moderate lifting of 25-50 lbs.
Skills :
The candidate must have experience in protein purification techniques at bench-scale and / or pilot scale processes.
Degree must be within a relevant field : (Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology) Bachelors or Masters degree with 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Directly related education and experience and / or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
