VP - Oracle Finance Solutions Lead Analyst

The Fin Solutions Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business.

Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise.

Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.

Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function / job family.

Responsibilities :

• Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including :
• Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
• Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
• Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
• Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
• Strategic professional who advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in own job and the business.
• Acts as a technical expert who acts as an advisor on significant business / product decisions
• Implements policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and / or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications :

• 6-10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
• Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.
• Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
• CPA preferred

Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree

Citi has embarked on a multi-year Finance Transformation initiative to implement a new Global Financial Accounting and General Ledger platform that provides a daily ledger in every legal entity,linking ledger balances and contract level reconciliations to our daily settlement records and contractual commitments.

The Strategic Ledger program as it is named, selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform of choice, after a rigorous technical and functional assessment of the firms current ledger platforms against leading industry solutions.

The new platform provides enhanced technical capability and supports our finance transformation strategy and realization of our Target Operating Model.

The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

An Oracle AFCS Functional Consultant is required at Vice President level to be part of the Strategic Ledger program. The consultant will play a key role in the implementation of the Oracle Accounting Foundation Cloud Service application for Citi ensuring an alignment of product functionality with business needs.

The consultant will have a good understanding of Oracle Financial modules gained from previous implementations of OFSAA, Oracle ERP Cloud (General Leger and / or Accounting Hub) or SAP Bank Analyzer solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide expertise on Oracles Accounting Foundation Cloud Service product capabilities and implementation.
• Support functional lead in requirements gathering, fit gap analysis and solution design activities.
• Prepare high quality business requirements and provide input and guidance on functional design documents.
• Engage with technology teams to provide SME support on development of Citi solutions not met by Oracle out of the box capability.
• Provide input to test preparation activities, training material development and process documentation as required.
• Work closely with Finance and program cross functional teams to support testing and business readiness activities.

Qualifications & skills :

• 6+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in a consulting role.
• Track record of substantial transformations with on-premise Oracle EBS or SAP R / 3, Oracle ERP including Accounting Hub or SAP S / 4 HANA.
• Understanding of accounting concepts both US GAAP and IFRS, general ledger processes, Chart of Accounts design, and close, consolidation processes.
• Understanding of the regulatory and control requirements around Citis ledgers including ICOFR and SOX.
• Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized.
• Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Strong written / verbal communications skills; must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions and the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including a proactive and fully transparent approach to communicating issues / requests.
• Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed.

Education :

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or related field is required; CPA or equivalent will be a differentiator
• Recent experience and knowledge of Oracle Finance cloud modules. Relevant Oracle or SAP expert certification will be an advantage.
• Experience of operating in a disciplined program management environment.
