Job Title : Building Maintenance Technician

- The Building Maintenance Technician will oversee the major mechanical and electrical building systems that support our engineering labs, manufacturing facilities and warehouse operations.
- The role requires a combination of both technical knowledge, especially with mechanical and electrical building systems, and project management skills.
- Relevant experience in an industrial facility setting is highly desired.
Job Overview :
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment required for building maintenance tasks, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
- Monitor critical power monitoring system, environmental monitoring system and building management system to identify issues and minimize the risk of equipment & operational downtime.
- Be responsible for the uptime and maintenance of HVAC, generators and electrical distribution systems.
- Proactively engage with business partners and stakeholders on the Operations Team to identify and resolve building system issues.
- Respond to employee reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on the critical systems.
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and all equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning operation.
- Ensure the defined predictive, planned, or preventive maintenance / cleaning schedule is followed.
- Escort and periodically check on vendors while performing maintenance to ensure that the company rules and operating procedures are followed.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the continuous operation of building systems and equipment.
- Support startup, commissioning and integration of new equipment and systems into the facilities infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems issues to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions.
Education and Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical Certifications, HVAC systems and control or equivalent practical experience in mechanical.
- Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- An ownership mentality to facility system performance and uptime
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to climb and work on platforms, ladders and under raised floors.
