Job Description :
This company is looking for a talented and driven Substation Engineer to join their elite team! You will be part of a team working with a leading developer in renewable energy offshore wind projects.
The role will see you working closely with renewables whilst still utilizing your substation engineering background which I why I am confident you will add a lot of value in this type of role and environment.
Some responsibilities include :
Develop and review efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations, leading physical electrical design tasks such as site and equipment layouts, ground grids, and material lists.
Perform design studies, select equipment and materials, and prepare specifications for construction work while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
Deliver accurate designs that meet industry standards and specifications, and review internal and external designs for code compliance and constructability.
Coordinate multi-discipline team activities to maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements, ensuring successful project completion.
Assist in site visits, estimating, and project meetings, and provide construction support by resolving site queries, attending site meetings, and performing inspections.
Maintain complete project documentation, foster good relationships with internal groups, and mentor developing engineers within the department.
Requirements :
- 5+ years' experience on Substation Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electric utility industry concepts, client focus and customer service, and knowledge of industry standards (NEC, NESC and IEEE)
