About The Position
- Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse Job Specialty : Emergency Room Nurse Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 hours varied Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years in a large Emergency Department;
- must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment License : Active NM or compact license Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) Must-Have : EPIC experience preferred;
- experience in a fast-paced environment; team player; flexible Job Description : Must adhere to a 75-mile straight-line radius rule- No local travelers allowed- Time off requests must be disclosed with initial application;
- post-acceptance requests will not be approved- Must include at least two references, one from a current manager, with application- Successful completion of Basic Competency Assessment (BCA) required in the first week- Failure to pass BCA results in dismissal- Required to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of assigned location- On-call : 1-12 hour shift every 4 weeks;
weekends : minimum 3 shifts every 4 weeks; holidays : at least one shift required- Orientation : First week, not exceeding 40 hours, includes EPIC training- Scrubs required and not provided by the facility- No holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers- Candidates must not have been employed by the system in the last 12 months to be considered for a travel positionPlease note that traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or shifts.
