The Accounts Receivable Manager manages accounts receivable and other accounting procedures, provides financial leadership, and is responsible for the development of policies, systems, analysis and reporting.

The position coaches and develops the accounts receivable team.

Responsibilities

You will :

  • Supervises and develops the accounts receivable team along with accounting process and systems. Sets objectives for the team that align with the accounting department’s goals and ensures that all team members follow accounting principles.
  • Monitors Processes. Monitors processing of invoices. Oversees records of invoices, bills and deposits.
  • Collection of Payments. Ensures timely collection of payments and negotiates with clients in non-payment cases. Conducts credit checks.
  • Audits processes / systems, provides recommendations. Monitors processing of invoices. Ensures high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law.

Stays updated on industry and legislative changes.

Responsible for Customer Accounts. Create new customers, establish credit limits and maintain sales tax exemption certificates.

Oversee credits and returns are entered and processed timely.

  • Quality Control : by identifying opportunities and implementing corrective and preventive action.
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations for Nichols in a timely manner following GAAP. Oversees and ensures monthly reporting requirements with Network Services Group are filed timely
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Qualifications

You have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance- recommended
  • 3-5 years of prior advanced accounting experience.
  • 1-2 years of prior leadership experience.
  • Accounting experience within distribution preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficient use of Microsoft Office and software programs.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong computer skills (ability to learn new systems)
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with competing priorities
