RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading the client service experience for assigned business including but not limited to supporting, maintaining, and growing accounts, as well as risk management advice to clients and negotiating with carriers on the behalf or our client;

Client Service : Develop client risk management strategies Travel and participate in client meetings Support the development of new business Technical : Attend technical and sales education to stay current with the changing marketplace Analysis of quotes and coverage comparisons to assure they meet the needs of our clients Seize development opportunities to further personal and professional development Marketing & Negotiating : Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters Maintain knowledge of markets and carrier appetites Exhibit skills necessary to negotiate desirable outcomes by anticipating carrier perspective Risk Management Advisor Role : Acquire all the information necessary to obtain comprehensive, competitive quotes Present consultative proposals to clients Maintain ongoing relationships with clients & include support staff in the handling of accounts Personal Attributes : Strong verbal and written skills including the ability to present and express insurance concepts to non-industry personnel in simplified terms Ability to shift focus and manage time in order to prioritize workload and to meet time sensitive deadlines Ability to participate in the development of others and leading by example QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree 10+ years’ experience P&C Insurance as an Underwriter, Account Manager, Sales and / or Marketing role NY State Property & Casualty license, Insurance Designation Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skill, and expertise in Microsoft Office products BENEFITS Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits to our colleagues, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, paid time off and much more.
Salary range is $150,000 to $225,000 per year, based on experience. *Must reside or be able to commute to a NY office. We're an equal opportunity employer.
