Our client is seeking a Logistics Inventory Coordinator / Purchasing Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Will be reporting to the General Manager.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movement to identify potential discrepancies, variances, or issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as sales, operations, and finance) to forecast inventory needs and establish inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, goods, or products to meet production or customer demand.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and favorable contract terms.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the accuracy and integrity of inventory records and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize inventory management software and systems to track and monitor inventory levels, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations to management on inventory control strategies and purchasing decisions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing or Inventory Control Manager, preferably in a manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Procurement experience from China and Far East preferred
