Senior Electrical Designer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Electrical Designer. This person will need to be able to prepare complete designs from general drawings and instructions for the Project Manager's approval.

Perform complex design calculations and analysis, and provides resolution on non-standard analytical problems. Perform and reviews the analysis and design activities in completing complex and unique design projects from general drawings and instructions.

Coordinate work of other disciplines on multi-discipline project and monitors scope, schedule and budget for Project Managers.

Position requires extensive knowledge of engineering design principles and practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical or Associates Degree in applicable design disciplines from an accredited technical institution or college.
• Valid Drivers' License.
• 10+ years of related drafting and / or design experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Proficient in the use of computer for design and understand CAD operations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, and the client.
• Integrity and sense of responsibility.
• Ability to follow instruction accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in the PC / windows environment with experience in e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
