The Business Development Manager- National Accounts is primarily responsible for establishing, planning, and overseeing the development and execution of Mac Papers Packaging and Jan / San National Accounts strategy.
This includes overseeing Sales Directors and Account Managers relating to multiple location accounts. Also responsible for attaining monthly or annual sales targets, building up distribution channels, establishing national business relations, and providing ideas for all national sales plans and their implementation.
Is also responsible for controlling the selling costs with the objective of achieving predetermined net profit yields. Responsible for managing and administrating profitability models for all branches.
Including Wide Format & Graphics as well as MPEC packaging equipment and consumables line of business. Also responsible for collaborating with branch leadership to develop goals and tasks to execute efficiency goals and needs.

Essential Position Functions :
- Assist in directing all aspects of National Accounts for Packaging and Jan / San segments including development of business model, determining profitability, managing supplier partners, and deploying, communicating, and maintaining roll out of program.
- Devise and deploy objectives and goals for national accounts across the company, including sales targets and budgets preparation.
- Integrate and align sales plans with available processes, IT systems, talent, and other areas to increase the capability and success of sales force.
- Managing the performance and activities of the entire sales units, including account managers, regional managers, and staff.
- Develop and implement reseller agreements, distribution strategies, and other sales opportunities.
- Create segment strategies wherever needed to maximize trade opportunities across different sales channels.
- Maximize work relationships with key wholesale and retail partners.
- Develop, manage, and nurture new business partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and profit goals.
- Communicate program identity internally to pertinent key business collaborates, business units, and the customer support.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and develop prospective customers.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Arrange business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients.
- Promote the company’s products / services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
- Collaborate with equipment and consumable suppliers to target, assess, present and close business.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Build strong relationships with corporate as well as branch key customers.
- Other duties as required.

Education and / or Experience :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent preferred.
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales representative, or a relevant role. Preferably in the packaging and / or Jan / San industries.
- Ability to diagnose problems, analyze and interpret complex data efficiently to making timely decisions.
