SUMMARY :
Reporting to the SVP, Global Operations and Supply Chain, the Site Leader will be an accomplished change agent with a proven track record of learning agility, maximizing employee engagement and building a collaborative operations-quality-compliance work environment.
This position will be responsible for driving sustainable and scalable process change at all organizational levels and continuously improving the site's execution.
Direct reporting functions include Production, Mechanical & Electrical Services (ie, Technical Services), Facilities, and Plant Engineering.
Site Leader will closely collaborate with colleagues in a matrixed environment to deliver critical projects and service improvements throughout the site Campus.
This position is responsible for developing and achieving key performance metrics throughout the organization to include P&L accountability.
Championing a progressive culture of world class cGMP operations, the Site Leader leads the development, implementation, and adherence to all GMP procedures and policies related to site operations in partnership with both his / her direct teams and matrixed teams.
This position will direct and coordinate operations activities to ensure the establishment of strategies and programs that will achieve the key operating imperatives of : Quality, Supply, Responsiveness, Cost and Talent excellence.
This role requires the analysis of critical financial and operational information from the site to ensure compliance with established targets and goals, in support of the overall business financial and operating plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Site Leader position. Other duties may also be assigned.
Provide direction and support in the development and implementation of the operations strategy and ensure alignment with business strategies.
This role has end to end accountability for implementing and enhancing process improvements for production making sure that high quality services are delivered on schedule and within budget.
This role will build a culture focused on delighting customers and achieving financial goals.
- Establish management systems that will ensure delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial commitments from an operations standpoint.
- Establishment and maintenance of statistical process control procedures and drive actions on trends or variances outside established limits which require corrective action.
- Planning and overseeing the execution of various workstreams to continue to challenge the current cost structure, drive efficiencies and ensure a high-quality product and service is achieved on time and in full.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of Facilities strategies (AHUs, DHUs capex, BAS, preventative maintenance program and calibrations programs and timely execution and documentation
- Ensure delivery of agreed upon quality standards in all manufactured products.
- Implements innovative processes and procedures which enhance GMP's and improve productivity, efficiency, cost competitiveness and quality.
- This position will take responsibility for leading a culture where people can grow to their fullest potential and actively support programs to improve engagement, development and the overall employee experience, balanced with achieving results.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the achievement of agreed upon organizational objectives particularly related to Quality, Production Execution, Talent planning and availability as well as other related programs that enhance the overall service offering and employee experience.
- Ensures that budgetary and gross margin goals are achieved as well as customer service level goals.
- Lead the operations leadership team in the development of objectives, strategies and policies.
- Establishes procedures, policies and training programs that ensure attainment of best practices in manufacturing execution.
- Responsible for the plant's cGMP and periodically assesses capacity needs and as indicated, selects and purchases capital items to expand capacity in accord with the demand forecast.
- In cooperation with human resources, actively engages with people programs and recommends programs that are fiscally responsible, well thought out, and supported by a business case in order to staff, train and maintain a highly motivated workforce.
- Develop and maintain an operations business plan that focuses on fiscal year performance while continuing to build an infrastructure and environment that provides a sustained, high-performance future for the business.
- Develop and lead a culture that strives for Process Excellence. Hallmarks of this culture will be a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Direct reports if any and the level of supervision.
PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
An undergraduate degree is required. An engineering and / or science degree is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of plant operations experience and / or technical management of a complex operations network. Must have a track record of building and leading efficient manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of GMP compliance and GMP manufacturing is required. The ability to effectively lead, including the ability to listen, motivate, train, coach, and develop people in a matrixed environment. The ability to
communicate with people at all levels both within and outside the organization. The ability to analytically evaluate data and information, use progressive problem-solving methods and implement solutions.
The ability to conceptualize, detail out, and implement business plans. The ability to build a team by hiring, developing, and empowering people to achieve their highest potential.
Must possess the financial skills to develop and manage departmental budgets, build robust business cases, and manage both short- and long-term capex requirements.
Experience in successfully implementing operational excellence tools like 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma. The chosen candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and will have the experience and judgment to apply the tools appropriately.
The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the business needs and close communication with the key business and function leaders in order to continuously align the operation with changing business and customer needs.
