Job Description :
We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
This role is integral to maintaining financial transparency and accuracy within our organization.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze and prepare financial information and reports to maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liability.
- Examine accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to reporting and procedural standards.
- Develop and maintain budgets, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted to actual costs.
- Implement and modify recordkeeping and accounting systems as needed.
- Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with all tax requirements.
Skills Required :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in applying accounting and mathematical principles.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
- Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other accounting software.
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline is required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 2-4 years of financial and / or accounting experience is required.
