Hilltop Wealth Advisors - Financial Planning Intern
We are looking for an addition to our team to help us build upon our reputation as a leading full-service financial planning and asset management company.

As an intern at Hilltop Wealth Advisors, you’ll be a vital member of our team and will have responsibility from day one. Through our program, you will gain knowledge and experience in the field, learn from our advisors and staff and find many avenues for professional growth and development.

Please note that this is not a sales position and you will not be asked to provide leads of any kind. Our primary internship objective is to gain a relationship with and utilize the talents of the Triangle’s future leaders while providing an opportunity for them to obtain valuable experience in the financial services industry.
This will be a summer internship with a possibility of extending into the school year. While at Hilltop you will have the opportunity to experience much of the industry’s best technologies including;
Redtail, eMoney, Orion, Morningstar, and Wealthscape.
Duties :
Work with the Financial Advisors and Planning Associates to :
o Plan and prepare for client financial planning and investment review meetings
o Enter client data into financial planning software
o Monitor investment portfolios and analyze asset allocations
o Prepare client correspondence
o Copy and track client and practice materials, including business correspondence
o Maintain files and records in accordance with the record retention policy
o Perform special projects as assigned
Qualifications should include :
- Ideally a second or third year college student majoring in financial services, marketing, finance, or economics.
- General financial knowledge and interest in Financial Services
- Intrinsically motivated
- Positive attitude and sincere willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work in a professional environment
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and SEC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
