We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
Responsibilities :
- Implement sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives
- Provide support to internal stakeholders to optimize managed services operations and sourcing strategies
- Maintain accurate contract and supplier files to ensure compliance with company and client requirements
- Responsible for the data integrity of contract databases and other data management tools
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets
- Ensure compliance to company's sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics
- Conduct research on key suppliers, execute Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request For Quotes (RFQ), analyze results, and communicate recommendations
- Negotiate, create, and manage contracts for goods and services
- Establish work priorities, assign deliverables, and resolve issues with operations teams to assure client satisfaction
- Participate in and provide leadership to supplier performance review meetings.
- Proven experience in a procurement role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of procurement procedures and policy
- Proficiency in database management and data entry
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with project management
- Understanding of budget processes and financial planning
- Ability to review and analyze contracts and insurance policies
- Knowledge of human resources administration
- Experience with facility operations and management
- Ability to implement and progress procurement strategies
- Proficiency in using 'About Time' software
- Experience in pricing and benefit functions
- Strong research skills
- Experience in reporting and optimization in procurement processes.
