What you will do :
The early career Environmental Planner will provide support to our mid-level and senior-level staff by assisting with studies associated with SEPA / NEPA environmental review, land use permitting, and marketing research.
Specific responsibilities include :
- Research, analyze and write in support of SEPA / NEPA environmental review documents.
- Coordinate teams of technical consultants.
- Coordinate public meetings and public comments.
- Support marketing research and proposal preparation / production.
What you will need :
- BA / BS degree in environmental, planning, geography, or related science.
- 1-3 years of public or private planning and environmental review experience.
- Knowledge and experience with planning and environmental review regulations (e.g., SEPA, NEPA, growth management act (GMA), and local land use regulations).
- Ability to conduct research and analysis in support of SEPA / NEPA environmental review.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Strong organizational, writing, and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Publisher, GIS, and other graphic software.
- AICP or other planning-related certifications are desirable but not required.
Anticipated salary range of $67,000 to $72,000 per year.
