Entry-Level Distribution Engineer
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Engineer for the Power Delivery Distribution Department in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be expected to :
- Learn client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards and expectations.
- Understand and follow POWER's standards, procedures, and processes.
- Understand and adhere to task budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Be capable of working both independently and within a team framework.
- Perform some fieldwork, as required.
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
- Must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to successfully pass client's background screening process.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired Education / Experience
- BSCE, BSEE, BSME degree from an ABET-accredited university.
- Internship or co-op experience preferably with engineering consulting firm or utility.
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to pass within one year of graduating.
- Familiarity with distribution design software, the National Electric Safety Code, and utility best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with both inter- and intradepartmental teams.
