Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an Entry Level Interior Trim Engineer for our Superior Township, MI facility who will :
- Design and develop Interior Trim parts, and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
- Develop innovative solutions to improve from a cost / mass, performance, and quality perspective
- Develop Engineering Concepts and see parts through to Mass Production
- Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
- Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
- Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles

Engineers should be able to demonstrate :
- 1+ years of working knowledge of Interior Trim Components : Pillar Trim, Carpet, Door Trim, Headliners, etc.
- Experience in cradle to grave product development best practices & processes
- Knowledge of US regulations
- Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Trim components
- Experience utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required)
- Travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally
Required Experience & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 1+ years of experience required
- Valid Driver's License & satisfactory driving record
