Job Title : Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are searching for a Field Service Technician (FST) to join our US office in Ooltewah, TN. The FST will work some at the facility in Ooltewah and travel to customer sites to install equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues, repair, and maintain tufting components or accessories.

The FST will also provide technical support and training to customers on-site, as well as via phone and email.

First 6 months or so will be exclusively at the facility in Ooltewah, training with master technicians on how to assemble, install, set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain their specific tufting equipment.

After completing training, they will then have you go out and do service work in the field.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Ooltewah, TN and some days traveling for field service work.

Work Environment

Ooltewah site is 10 years new with clean and modern equipment. Travel to different client sites is required, with environments varying per location, mostly in manufacturing and tufting / knitting manufacturing settings.

The team in the US consists of 6 members, with the main supervisor based in Ooltewah. Dress code will vary per customer requirements.

80-90% of travel will be in immediate area, and techs would be home at the end of the day. 10-20% of travel would be in other states and would require staying in a hotel, which the company pays for.

They also provide a company vehicle and pay for gas expenses. And they give $60 per diem for each day you don't come home.

They're home almost every weekend.

After about 6 months, they'd send you to Belgium for training at their home facility in Europe. Great learning opportunity!

Pay : $30-$35 / hr, depending on experience, and opportunities for raises

Shift : 1st

Travel : 80+% local and home at the end of the day. 10-20% outside the immediate area, staying in a hotel for a couple days, but home almost every weekend.

1-2 projects a year that could have you on the road for 1-4 weeks.
