Junior Data Analyst

Job Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is someone driven to apply analytical techniques to support business goals.

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data while working closely with senior leaders to extract insights through reports and / or visualizations.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in data analytics and build a strong foundation in data driven decision making skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Collection & Preparation :

• Gather, clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources.
• Assist in maintaining and updating databases and data systems.
• Perform basic data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.

Data Analysis :

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Assist senior leadership in conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA) and reporting on key business metrics.
• Use statistical methods and tools to support business reporting and decision-making.

Reporting & Visualization :

• Help in the creation of dashboards and reports to visualize data insights using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Assist in the preparation of regular reports for management and various departments.

Collaboration & Support :

• Work closely with other teams or departments to understand their data needs and provide accurate insights.
• Assist in developing processes for automating data tasks and workflows.

Qualifications & Skills :

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Experience :

• Entry-level experience or internship in data analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas).
• Basic understanding of SQL for querying databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Technical Skills :

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of statistical methods and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with data manipulation and visualization tools.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R is an advantage.

Soft Skills :

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Internship or experience in data analysis.
• Familiarity with basic business concepts and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
