Position Overview :

As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in managing our client's lease accounting functions and ensuring smooth month-end close processes.

This role emphasizes accuracy and efficiency, with responsibilities spanning journal entries, financial analysis, and sales tax filings.

Overview of the Staff Accountant role :

• Lead the monthly close process within a six-day timeframe, including journal entry preparation, financial analysis, and supporting documentation.
• Execute precise journal entries and manage financial data for accurate reporting.
• Assist in sales tax filings to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to support accurate financial statements.
• Support lease accounting functions to align with company standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in general accounting within a large corporate environment.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, functions, and pivot tables.
• Prior experience in lease accounting is highly desired.
