Job duties of the Staff Accountant Role :
- Maintain and update accounting records and files with project expenses, ledgers, and other financial documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support the budgeting process.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Process invoices, payments, and ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency
Qualifications preferred for the Staff Accountant Role :
- Construction experience is a plus!
- Great Communication skills
- Accounting degree is a plus but not required.
- 3+ years in an accounting position
