RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position enables the sales process by providing exceptional food experiences to drive confidence in Hormel quality, capabilities, and product portfolio.

• Participates as a member of the Hormel Culinary Collective and is involved in all Collective activities.
• Develops and delivers culinary presentations with sales team for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Lead / opportunity generation through chef-to-chef connections with key accounts.
• Menu / recipe concept ideation.
• Represents Hormel culinary at industry events and trade shows.
• Key participant in all sales development training seminars hosted at the corporate office.

QUALIFICATIONS : Required

Required

• 3+ years of professional culinary experience
• Experience working in either a corporate culinary, institutional culinary, or medium to large restaurant chain culinary role with responsibility over menu development and profitability.
• A pattern of initiative.
• A pattern of strong goal setting and results accountability.
• Self-starter who possesses the ability to work independently.
• Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
• Ability to foster relationships with fellow culinarians at a regional or national level.
• Ability to present effectively to groups.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal and persuasive skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Formal culinary degree from a reputable culinary institute.

LOCATION :

Midwest location within proximity to a major airport

TRAVEL :

This position may travel up to 50% of the time.
