Provide career advising and career education programs for College of Engineering students. Primary focus on either undergraduate or graduate students, depending on interest & experience.

Serve as team lead for one of our five support functions. We are a six-person team running a full-service career office for students who are smart, hard-working, and in high demand for their STEM skills & education.

Programs and services include :

  • individual advising, workshops, career courses, and online resources
  • career fairs hosted in fall and spring, both in-person and virtual
  • alumni mentorship & networking programs
  • employer outreach and event hosting
  • high-quality marketing to promote our events, programs, and opportunities
  • survey & data collection on internship and first-destination outcomes

Responsibilities include :

  • Provide 1 : 1 career advising for students from all College of Engineering programs, with special emphasis on advising undergraduate students.
  • Create, deliver, and continually improve career education programs.
  • Create, distribute, and continually improve career education content, including how-to guides and online video instruction.
  • Provide outreach to student groups to deliver partnered career programs, especially events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Serve as team lead in one of the following support functions, based on strengths and interests :
  • Event Planning & Management
  • Marketing & Communications
  • Employer Engagement
  • Alumni Engagement
  • Data & Platform Management
  • Career Education Content Management

Required Skills

B.A. / B.S., Master's preferred. Five years of related experience.
