Summary : Meta is seeking a highly motivated privacy attorney to join a growing team of go-to legal counsel for privacy area teams in the Product Compliance & Privacy Org (PCP).

We drive the development and execution of scalable solutions for all of Meta to comply with new and evolving privacy obligations across the globe.

This requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and excellent legal judgment. You will need a deep understanding of global privacy laws and a passion for new technology.

We are looking for someone who is able to both work independently and collaborate across functions, including Meta’s privacy, product, legal and policy teams.

Required Skills : Associate General Counsel, Privacy Responsibilities : Drive development and execution of the company’s strategies to address new and evolving global privacy requirementsLead on drafting new and updated privacy policies across the full range of Meta’s productsOversee the privacy policy safeguard life cycle end-to-endMaintain subject matter expertise in new and evolving areas of global privacy law and regulatory pressuresDevelop resources and tools that enable counsel across the company to provide durable and consistent advice on contested privacy issueDrive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta’s business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departmentsMinimum Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : J.

D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and / or in-house or government experienceExperience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for social media, internet and technology companiesExperience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigationsExperience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environmentProven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skillsProven business judgment and client counseling experienceExperience making decisions in the face of ambiguity and evolving prioritiesPreferred Qualifications : Preferred Qualifications : Experience working cross-functionally to advance projects in a multi-stakeholder environmentBusiness judgment and practical counseling skillsIn-house experience with applicable product counseling, compliance, litigation, or regulatory teamsExperience prioritizing work and providing advice under deadlinesExperience with policy developmentExperience with understanding innovative technologyPublic Compensation : $226,000 / year to $304,000 / year + bonus + equity + benefitsIndustry : InternetEqual Opportunity : Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
