Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a Program Manager II. This is an 11 month + contract and hybrid remote position located in Boulder, CO.

Summary :

  • Primary responsibilities include owning the ops PMO side of the EPP project, owning the comms execution based on pre-set strategy for P&I, documentation and reporting for P&I.
  • Additionally help in upkeep of the P&I day to day operational rigor.
  • This is a critical role impact several cross functional teams within gUP.

Responsibilities :

  • This critical temporary role will provide comprehensive maternity leave coverage for a tram mate, ensuring the seamless continuation of essential projects and operations within gUP.
  • The primary focus will be on the EPP project's ops PMO side, P&I communications execution, and maintaining day-to-day P&I operational rigor.
  • EPP Project : Take ownership of the ops PMO aspects of the EPP project. Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project efforts.

P&I Communications : Execute communications plans based on the pre-established strategy for P&I. Develop and distribute relevant communications materials.

Track and report on communication effectiveness.

  • P&I Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all P&I activities. Prepare and submit timely reports on P&I performance.
  • P&I Operational Support : Assist in upholding the day-to-day operational rigor of P&I. Identify and address any operational challenges or inefficiencies.
  • Additional Information : This is a full-time, temporary position for 10 months to cover maternity leave. The role will have a significant impact on several cross-functional teams within gUP.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally with a focus on operations or PMO.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as project management software, communication platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Communications Management (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to listen effectively to stakeholders, to communicate program goals, progress, and health to them in a manner tailored to their interests and concerns at all levels, and to drive understanding and inform decisions.

Typical artifacts include communications plans, metrics and status reports, decision logs, newsletters, and websites.

Continuous Improvement (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to establish systems to identify improvements and drive future needs around business processes, products, or services on an ongoing basis, through measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics.

Typical artifacts include metric plans (e.g., leading and trailing KPIs), dashboards, trend analyzes, control charts, and retrospectives.

Execution and Governance (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to organize and manage the activities that lead to the outcomes of a project : what, who, when, and how.

Adjust ???levers??? (e.g., schedule, staffing, features) to deliver results on time. Effectively monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations.

Typical artifacts include governance plans, project trackers, status reports, OKRs, retrospectives, and escalation reports.

Managing Organizational Change (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to discern when a change is appropriate and to drive change across the organization, working closely with partner teams to manage and communicate changes, introducing them in the least disruptive manner.

Put systems and mechanisms in place to facilitate future changes. Typical artifacts include rollout plans and impact analyzes.

Planning (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives.

Leverage a variety of methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to make teams most effective. Typical artifacts include proposals, program charters, project plans, OKRs, roadmaps, and risk registers.

Stakeholder Management (PgM / TPgM) : Ability to forge and maintain effective program teams within and across an organization, understand and address their needs and health, and support them throughout the lifecycle of their undertaking.

Typical artifacts include RACI charts, stakeholder maps, OKRs, and CSAT reports.
