Salary :
Atlas Manpower is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist to join our team. The CLS Generalist will be responsible for performing clinical testing in one or more of the following areas : chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university and must hold a current clinical laboratory license per the California State Board of Clinical Laboratory Science.
Responsibilities :
- Perform clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accuracy and precision in testing.
- Analyze test results and report findings accurately and promptly.
- Maintain quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Troubleshoot instrument or assay problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on new developments and advancements in the field of clinical laboratory science.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- Current clinical laboratory license per the California State Board of Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and documenting results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
