Senior Software Developer

Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL ( r emote support will be considered ) to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission.

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for project oversight as well as hands on development of in-house built web-based applications and supporting primary business applications on the AUTEC project.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note : U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Work through the entire software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, integration, user training, and application maintenance.
• Analyze and understand customer requirements and software design objectives.
• Develop functional specifications.
• Implement secure coding practices and maintain software code in compliance with DoD IA mandates.
• Architect, design, and implement .NET web-based solutions.
• Follow established configuration management processes to maintain source code control.
• Perform code reviews.
• Perform unit testing.
• Participate in various other types of testing, including end user testing support.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to other members of the development team.
• Train users as necessary.
• Troubleshoot production applications.
• Willingness to mentor and share knowledge.
• Occasional travel to Andros Island, Bahamas will be necessary.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent.
• 5 years related experience working in software development focusing mainly on the Microsoft.Net environment.
• Experience with ASP.Net and C#.
• Experience with relational databases.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience learning systems and business models in a fast-paced environment.
• Is self-managed, takes initiative, and can manage customer expectations for support.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels to include management, developers, testers, and customers / users.
• Valid a passport will be required.
• This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government secret security clearance;

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications :

• VB.Net experience would be considered in lieu of C#.
• Strong experience with SQL Server is preferred.
• Experience with SQL Reporting Services is considered a plus.
• Experience with Power BI is considered a plus.
