Position Summary :
Director of Sales responsible for managing the Grocery Class of trade for the West Coast including but not limited to : UNFI / Supervalu West, Albertsons, Smart & Final, Savemart, Stater Brothers and Bodega Latina.
Primary Position Responsibilities :
Manage the everyday business of the accounts and brokers in the area of responsibility. Main Duties include :
Account development
o Establish relationship with Key accounts and become the face of the business
o Penetrate Albertsons at the Local & Corporate level
o Annual promotion planning and management
o Expand distribution, close voids on core items
o Identify new opportunities
Trade spend / Deduction management
o Daily maintenance of Trade Spend and deductions
o Oversight of brokers work in the system
o Post analysis of Promotions
Syndicated data analysis
o Develop and present sound fact based selling stories
Broker Management / Motivation
o Ensure that Harvest Hill is top of mind with all broker contacts
o Train broker to become and expert on our business
Position Qualifications :
- Key account call experience within the conventional grocery channel in the West required.
- Management : significant broker management (currently aligned with Advantage), must know how to effectively motivate and manage broker teams.
Individual contributor.
- Fluent in trade management
- Sound knowledge of technology (reports, developing presentations, etc) and the ability to read and interpret data and use it to create powerful stories.
- 5 -10 years of sales experience in the CPG industry (beverage space preferred, open to food)
- Seeking a self-motivated individual that is comfortable wearing multiple hats with effective time management skills, team-player approach, solution-oriented mindset, and strong communication skills (written and verbal),
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, brand-building environment.
- Must have a strong business acumen and professional approach.
