Hennebery Eddy Architects has an established brand and an increasing regional and national presence. We're growing our marketing team to support our diverse market sectors.

In this role, you'll interface with the marketing team, administrative team, and staff at every level of the firm and in multiple office locations.

We are looking for someone who is strategic and detail-focused, highly collaborative, and consistently works to support the Hennebery Eddy team and brand.

This full-time position requires working in-person in our Portland, Oregon studio with the potential for hybrid work after onboarding.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Establish tactics to implement the firm's overall marketing strategy and plan across market sectors and services.
  • Research market potential to determine trends and firm differentiators.
  • Support market leaders and business development team in tracking leads and opportunities and assigning tasks.
  • Manage preparation of proposals and other marketing collateral, rough draft through final layout and production, including mentoring and coordination with internal design staff, coordinators, and partner and subconsultant firms.
  • Support interview and presentation preparation with messaging, coaching, and print and electronic graphics.
  • Work with marketing, administrative, and design staff on developing and updating database content, including boilerplate, opportunity, project, and personnel records.
  • Manage and communicate Hennebery Eddy's graphic standards and brand identity in all materials. Coordinate internally and externally for consistency in graphic representation.
  • Coordinate public relations activities with our internal communications group, including PR Manager and Marketing & Communications Assistant.
  • Be actively involved in professional and community organizations; represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a marketing or communications role. Professional services firm experience required.
  • A degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, with demonstrated strategic thinking and proven ability to execute against multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Demonstrated graphic, writing, and editing skills, including advanced knowledge of grammar and style guides and ability to format complex documents.
  • Ability to translate technical information into compelling narratives to showcase successful design outcomes.
  • Budgeting and resources management experience, including oversight of other staff members' work. Experience managing team members preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with CRM databases, website content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail. Responsible for the overall quality of work produced.
  • Strong work ethic, highly organized, ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of design and marketing teams.
  • May require working overtime during peak periods.
