Summary / Objective

Alliance Technical Group is seeking enthusiastic, adventurous, and mechanically minded individuals for the position of Environmental Field-Testing RNG / OG Technician.

This role is ideal for lab candidates looking to transition into a field role and gain hands-on experience in the oil field and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production.

RNG, or Renewable Natural Gas , is an expanding field focused on converting by-product gases into pipeline-quality fuel.

You will travel to customer locations within your region and out of state, with all expenses covered, while working outdoors at facilities that process these gases.

Please note, this position involves working in the oil field and traveling 50% of the time, often requiring two-week periods out of state .

Essential Functions

• Conduct on-site field testing related to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and oil field operations, including equipment preparation, deployment, staging, breakdown, and sample collection.
• Safely transport testing equipment to customer sites, both in your region and out of state, following all test methods, procedures, and processes for quality source testing.
• Apply mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to testing systems as needed.
• Participate in a comprehensive training process and have the opportunity for rapid advancement.
• Travel out of state for approximately 50% of the time , often in two-week periods, with all travel expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience :
• Degree in Environmental, Engineering, or Mechanical Sciences preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in environmental response / sample collection, mechanical, construction, or electrical work is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills :
• Familiarity or ability to learn MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe products.
• Ability to distinguish between shades of color for safety purposes.
• Other Requirements :
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders or stairs, and use tools requiring manual dexterity.
• Willingness and ability to work in the oil field and travel out of state for up to two weeks at a time .

Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions at oil field and RNG facilities . Frequent travel to customer locations both within your region and out of state (up to 50% of the time) is required, with all travel expenses covered.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools and testing equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary & Compensation

• Starting pay rate : $21-$23 per hour , with plenty of overtime available .
• Estimated annual salary : Up to $50K-$55K, including overtime and bonuses.
