Our Learning & Development team drives the concept, development and implementation of scalable training programs and learning events that empower franchisees, staff and The Grove to achieve optimal results.
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning solutions for various educational and training programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and instructional technologies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to determine learning objectives and determine learning content.
- Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and multimedia assets.
- Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, multi-media designers, and learning specialists, to achieve project objectives.
- Assist with internal Grove learning.
- Ensure content is accessible and meets industry standards for compliance and accessibility.
- Able to adapt well to fast-paced and ambiguous environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Additional responsibilities requested by the OTF Leadership Team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
- Proficiency in instructional design software, such as Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, or similar tools.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and experience with SCORM and other e-learning standards.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing accessible learning materials.
