Position Summary : Children’s Aid’s Enhanced Family Foster Care program places children with supportive families in their own neighborhoods when their parents cannot offer them the stability, safety, and support they need to thrive.
The Foster Care program is prepared to deal with the widest range of child welfare situations from temporary situations that allow birth families to address issues until they can be reunited, to specialized homes with highly trained foster parents for children who need constant care for chronic medical and developmental conditions, or children reacting to trauma.
Our programs provide trainings to support individuals in these roles.
Bachelor’s degree salary range - $50,000 to $55,000
Master’s degree salary range - $60,000 to $65,000
Essential Duties :
- Work with a dynamic team of professionals including therapists, education specialists, and social workers in our foster care program for children
- Manage a case load of approximately 10 children with varied levels of mental health needs
- Provide intensive casework services and fieldwork services for children and their birth and foster families with the goal of providing permanency as quickly as possible.
- Conduct outreach to connect children and families with agency and community treatment resources.
- Utilization of CONNECTIONS, child welfare computer system.
- Coordinate Family Team Conferences.
- Actively participate in case consultations
- Maintain written case records.
- Training provided.
- In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Social Work; Psychology; or related field.
- Foster Care experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.

- Flexibility, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy.
