The Program Manager co-creates and facilitates engaging and educational international opportunities for students through the effective management of a portfolio of faculty- and staff-led education abroad programs.
Working through a lens of inclusion and access, the Program Manager is instrumental in providing support and resources to CSU faculty, staff, and students for CSU Todos Santos Center (Mexico) programs and other unique custom faculty- and staff-led programs world-wide.
This position will combine experience and passion for education abroad and student support, advocating for expanded access for CSU students to engage globally.
The Program Manager will also serve as the lead recommended programs liaison with 1-2 designated colleges on the CSU campus, and in collaboration with the Associate Director, will oversee and supervise 1-2 special project areas.
This is a full-time administrative professional position reporting to the Associate Director of Education Abroad. Required Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree plus four years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of international education
- Two years of experience with education abroad program administration
- Two years of experience with student-centered advising
- Evidence of strong organizational skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people at all levels of an organization, including diverse communities
- The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date. International Programs cannot sponsor a visa for this position.

Essential Duties Job Duty Category Management of Todos Santos Center Programs Duty / Responsibility
Lead program development of Todos Santos Center staff- and faculty-led programs, including collaborating with the Director and staff of the Todos Santos Center to support departments and CSU faculty in the development process.
This includes developing requests for proposals and drafting source selection documentation, reviewing contracts, creating websites and application materials, and other related duties.
- In collaboration with Todos Santos Center staff and program faculty, support the development of academic course content appropriate for programming while meeting deadlines and following CSU academic policies.
- Serve as the fiscal officer and budget manager for all faculty- and staff-led programs within assigned portfolio, including Todos Santos programs.
- Develop and implement an annual outreach and communication plan to expand and support Todos Santos Center opportunities, including identifying and collaborating with relevant colleges and departments to expand knowledge of offerings and expand opportunities for specific majors.
- Oversee program evaluation and support development of assessment plan for Todos Santos Center programming.
- Update the Education Abroad team and relevant stakeholders on current and newly developed Todos Santos Center programming and best practices for advising students on Todos Santos Center opportunities.
- Serve in the rotation for the Education Abroad emergency phone to support students and leaders in risk mitigation and emergency response, with specific engagement in risk mitigation and support for international internships and research programs.
- Conduct international site visits with current and potential faculty or staff program leaders as assigned.

- Manage an existing assigned set of OIP-managed education abroad faculty- and staff-led programs.
- Serve as the fiscal officer and budget manager for all faculty- and staff-led programs within assigned portfolio, including Todos Santos programs.
- Develop and maintain participant materials for application, acceptance, registration, orientation, and evaluation specific to the assigned CSU program portfolio.
Maintain the web-based information associated with these programs and promotional materials for campus partners.
- Advise outbound students on application forms, entry requirements, health and safety materials, and visa regulations for the program destinations through email, group advising, and 1-1 appointments.
- Support and inform program leaders, academic advisors, associated departments / offices, and other stakeholders on processes, timelines, and promotion.
- Collaborate with international partners and CSU campus partners to develop and maintain clear communication timelines and support program logistics and programming.
- Meet regularly and collaborate with the OIP team to develop, update, revise, and improve processes and practices.
- Supervise, train, and support 1-2 full- time education abroad advisors.
- Serve on and / or lead 1-2 additional special topic working groups as assigned.
- Stay current and involved with education abroad best practices through meetings, workshops, and conference attendance at local, regional, and national professional organizations.
Percentage Of Time 35% Job Duty Category Recommended Programs College Liaison Duty / Responsibility
- Serve as the Education Abroad key contact and liaison for 1-2 academic colleges at CSU. This role includes updating and maintaining recommended program lists for assigned college(s), attending relevant college / department meetings to learn about the goals of the college / department;
- sharing resources and information related to education abroad with the college; co-facilitating information sessions on relevant international opportunities;
- co-developing an annual written plan for collaboration with the college to support internationalization goals and identify strategic areas for growth;
attending 1-2 events for assigned college as available.
Serve on the Recommended Programs Working Group to support communication and recommended program list updates and development.
