Amazon is seeking a dedicated, multitasking, and customer-obsessed individual to support the General Manager of Direct Connect and other Directors within AWS Infrastructure Services.

The Executive Assistant will act as an extension of the leaders, and will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the AWS Infrastructure Services team and across the rest of the company.

This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests.

A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important.

The candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.

The individual in this role will need to understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for their leaders, and their team.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Key job responsibilities

Includes (but is not limited to) :

  • Exceptional management of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements
  • Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
  • Partnering with leaders to understand their priorities and build processes to make their organizations happier and more effective
  • Managing group logistics and team space (including moves and reconfigurations)
  • Manage domestic and international travel
  • Complete and file expense reports
  • Assist with organizing and executing team activities
  • Having fun at work and helping others do the same

A day in the life

Support two executive leaders in Direct Connect AWS Infrastructure whose organizations are responsible for providing critical network as a service to AWS customers.

Manage complex calendaring, domestic and international travel, and expenses. This person will also ideally have space planning experience, and be able to help this team strategically manage space and proactively look around corners for space planning.

This person will be closely connected to the business, stay aware of changes and challenges, and proactively present ideas and solutions.

Direct Connect provides high-speed fiber optic connections that go from 50Mbps up to 100Gbps, where by avoiding the public Internet, customers can achieve better security, better network resiliency, and reduce data transfer costs.

Direct connect has multiple teams around the world, specifically in Herndon-Virginia, Santa Clara, Seattle, Dublin, Sydney, and Minneapolis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience
  • Experience with executive level calendar management
  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
